Appliance Scramble Tips
1. Slow Cookers(200) and Toaster Ovens(1200-1500)
use less energy than electric stoves for cooking small amounts of food.
2. Washing machine(400-500)
match the water level to the size of the load
3. Refrigerator(500-800)
the temperature inside should be between 2-5 c
4. Freezer
the temperature inside should be -18
5. Microwave(900-1200)
make sure that the microwave is well vented.
6. Dishwasher(1400-1800)
clean the drains and filters regularly. use when full
7. Stove Top(1500-2000)
an electric kettle uses half the energy required to boil water compared to using a stove top burner
8. Oven(2500-3000)
20% of the heat is lost when you open the door during cooking
9. Clothes Dryer(4000-5000)
do not over load the clothes dryer because it makes the dryer work longer and wastes energy. keep the filter and vents clean of lint.
