Field Trip Report

Today is Remembrance Day. All students of the school attended the Remembrance Day Service that was called "Lest We Forget" at Toronto Center for the Arts in the morning. There were no empty seats in George Weston Recital hall. It began at 11:00 AM.
Firstly, we sang Canadian National Anthem "O Canada'. After that, we had opening remarks by the president of Royal Canadian Legion and opening prayers by Assistant Division Chaplain. Secondly, we sang a hymn called "O God, Our Help in Ages Past" together. What a brilliant whole people singing the same hymn. One student of the band on stage played the "Last Post" by a trumpet. All of the people stood up for the two minutes of silence. The man who wore Scottish kilt playing the "Lament" at the second floor. There were almost twenty wreaths laying on the stage with the people gave a salute one by one. Two girls recited a poem named "In Flanders Fields". I was torched. Lastly, we hymned"Faith of Our Fathers" and "God Save the Queen".
It was drizzly just like our feeling when we got it out. For freedom, a lot of people lost their life. We should remember those brave soldiers forever.
