Tuesday's Assignment

What's better than a portfolio and a printed resume? How about a video resume?

Interesting? Interested? Here are more samples.
A video resume is an interesting progress in the digital age. I'm so interested. But I don't think it could take a
place of the traditional resume because it takes you more time if the man has to read hundreds or more
resumes.
  1. Role Play: Preparing Your Video Resume
  2. Take dictation from 0:32 - 0:41 of this video, check with a partner, and then
  3. record your own Youtube introduction.
1. Dictation
Let me guess. You like the (an) idea of having a video resume. But you're worried about what you are going to say, and
you've seen all these other professionally produced videos and think how I can compete with that. Trust me, you're not
alone. To prepare the video resume that puts your full education and career background history and career aspiration
into a 3-minute clip (club). It's not easy and takes a bit of (your) time to prepare. So why not do this for now: Record a
video resume into a clip (club).  Simply introduce yourself on camera.  Say something like" Hi, my name's Jen, I'm
currently seeking opportunities in retail fashion. Thank you for taking the(your) time to review my resume. Please do get in
(again and) touch. That's it. In 15 seconds, You'll have shown someone:
A. What you look like.
B. How you present yourself.
c. Show a glimpse of yourself personality.
D. Manage yourself approachable.
On average (our rage) read resumes get a look that for 7 seconds, video resumes look that for 25 seconds. You have just
increased your reach times four. Go on try it today at Video Recruit.com.

2. New Word
take the place of/ supplements/  outside interests and activities / well-rounded person/ be marketing yourself as
wear business attire/  outfit is out/  knock you out of contention for/  What counts/  handle yourself in a business setting
